So I'm sitting here, just watched Michigan State dominate, and now I'm preparing to spend the next two hours watching the Bruins (that's the Boston Bruins) lose. While I'm doing that, I'm having zero success finding something to buy for my car.
Yesterday I bought a new cooling fan for $16 on eBay. My Corvair is a '69, but it has an earlier engine...so the fan is this big heavy steel thing. In 1964, Chevy switched to a magnesium fan, which is lighter and takes less power to run. In 1965, they changed the bearing, and therefore the fan, again. So if you've got an early engine, you need a '64 fan for it to be just a drop in swap. Neat, huh?
Anyway, there are a few things I'm thinking about. Bumper-mounted round yellow fog lights are one, new gauges are another (I don't have a tach, or a working speedometer...I'd at least like a tach). Some center caps for my Ansen Sprint-ish wheels? How about a bluetooth speaker, since my radio doesn't work, and even if it did, it's a mono AM radio system and I wouldn't want to hear it anyway.
Any ideas?
